Miami, USA - January 24, 2011; EION Wireless announced today that both the newly introduced LibraNet 5860 and the Libra MAX family of WiMAX products have received a 2010 4GWE Product of the Year Award from the TMC and Crossfire Media. The LibraNet is a new wireless networking platform launched by EION early this year that creates highly scalable and flexible wireless networks and includes WiFi Hot Zone Access. The Libra MAX is a field proven fixed WiMAX family of products currently being deployed in large quantities.

The new product suite, LibraNet 5860, is comprised of the LibraNet 5860 PtP Repeater, LibraNet 5860 PtMP Repeater and the LibraNet 5860 WiFi Zone. LibraNet 5860 products unlock innovative deployment options for service providers to reach locations that were previously not economical or simply unreachable. The cost effective LibraNet 5860 products are targeted towards 4G/3G Backhaul, Internet Service Providers, Oil & Gas Sectors, Military Applications, Rural Broadband and Disaster Recovery.

The new LibraNet 5860 product suite interworks seamlessly with LibraPlus 5860 products and can be immediately deployed to enhance and extend existing LibraPlus 5860 installations. The LibraNet 5860 radios operate in the 5.x GHz frequency range and make use of the narrow band 5 & 10 MHz channels, the normal 20 MHz channel and the 40 MHz Turbo channel for superior throughput.

The Libra MAX Family of products is a fixed WiMAX platform designed to provide carrier grade reliability for broadband access, Voice over IP, virtual private networks and video services such as IPTV, video surveillance and business video.

The Second Annual 4GWE Product of the Year Award winners will be presented with their awards at ITEXPO, February 2-3 in Miami Florida, USA. Winners will also be featured on the 4GWE Website and published in the 4GWE e-newsletter.
